The Workshop on Asset Valuation Law

    The Workshop on Asset Valuation Law was held at Beijing Conference Center in October 16^th afternoon. Representatives from the Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee, Laws and Rules Department of MOF, Enterprise Department of MOF, international organizations and China Appraisal Society attended the workshop.

    The workshop was hosted by Mr. XU Guoqiao, Deputy Director of Laws and Rules Department of MOF. Ms. YUAN Jie, Director of the Administrative Law Office of Legislative Affairs Commission of the NPC Standing Committee gave a speech on the workshop expressing the attention NPC attached to valuation legislation. Four international experts, namely Mr. Greg McNamara, Mr. Lee Hackett, Mr. Gheorghe Badescu and Mr. Elvin Fernandez stated the legislation condition in their own countries and have answered questions from domestic representatives. They offered suggestions and advices according to Chinese legislative and valuation climate, which were valuable to the whole profession.

    The workshop was rewarding and will speed up the valuation law formulation process.
