Leaders of CAS Attended the Information Release Event of 2021 China Brand Valuation

The "2021 China Brand Valuation Information Release and China Brand Building Summit" was held in Shanghai on May 9. The event was jointly organized by Xinhua News Agency, China Brand Building Promotion Association, China Appraisal Society and the Information Center of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council.


GENG Hong, President of China Appraisal Society (CAS), delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the launch event. ZHANG Genghua, Vice President and Secretary General of CAS, released the value evaluation results of the service industry, agriculture, product brands, Chinese long-established brands and independent innovation brands. China Appraisal Society has participated in brand value evaluation information release activities eight consecutive times.


President GENG Hong pointed out in her speech that a brand is an effective means to guide, enhance and stimulate demand, and to implement the requirement of "focusing on demand-side management". Through brand building, it can accelerate the construction of new development patterns, guide the rational allocation of resources, lead industrial transformation and upgrading, and serve to open the double-cycle blockage. At present, the brand building still needs to further strengthen the foundation work around the five elements. We should learn from the failure of a few enterprises, strengthen integrity building, enhance the sense of corporate responsibility, and maintain and enhance the image of our brand. We should focus on technological innovation, management innovation and business model innovation, and strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights in brand innovation. To further enhance quality consciousness, provide quality products that consumers are satisfied and trust, and create national brands that are recognizable in the increasingly complex international environment.


2021 China Brand Value Evaluation is a comprehensive release covering primary, secondary and tertiary industries and some regional brands. Active evaluation is implemented for the financial and insurance industry and some outstanding brands. The number of brands declared for evaluation reached 1,266, and the number of brands released reached 695, with a total brand value of 8,374.6 billion yuan (excluding 100 prefecture-level cities), and the average value of brand value increased by 7.9% compared with last year. The year-on-year increase in brand value and brand influence testifies to the rich results achieved by Chinese brands in the process of promoting high-quality development.


Over the years, the China Appraisal Society and some asset appraisal institutions have served the transformation of "brand input" to "brand value" through innovative theoretical research and technical application. In the new development stage, the asset appraisal industry will continue to increase technical support in the cultivation of ecological product brands, regional brands of geographical indications, cluster brands, brands with special advantages, and the development of brand-related national standards.
